Manufacturing and Open Innovation at EMO21 with CFI

On October 7 at 2.30 pm at Emo 2021 Wärtsilä and Opificio Digitale will participate in the event by CFI " Manufacturing: how to bring value to the ecosystem with open innovation!", find out how to participate. The event will be in Italian.

Opportunities for factories, startups and technology partners outside of conventional supply chains. Wärtsilä Italia, Abb, Deloitte, Hsd, Sap will participate. Introduced and moderated by Filippo Astone, director of Industria Italiana.

In the era of interconnection, global competition and just in time, industry can remain competitive only if it continuously innovates. An effective way can be to integrate innovations from outside, from start-ups that have developed useful solutions to improve processes or to manufacture new products.

New ideas are not enough for manufacturing: we need new technologies to be introduced in the factory as quickly as possible, but in continuity with the present processes.

In this event of the Cluster Fabbrica Intelligente we will bring useful ideas and experiences generated by excellent factories (some of the Lighthouse Plants), technological partners (some of the Pathfinders), manufacturing start-ups. In addition, of course, to the Cluster's vision.

During the event will be presented the first selected start-ups of the challenge launched by Lighthouse Wärtsilä Italia, Italian branch of the Finnish multinational global leader in the provision of intelligent technologies and complete solutions for the entire life cycle in both the marine and energy markets.

The objective of the challenge was to find a company capable of developing an application for offline data collection and management. The challenge was addressed to start-ups and scaleups, Italian SMEs and the world of research.
